Mont Saint-Michel

The reason I put Mont Saint-Michel on the top of this list is simply for its uniqueness. The Unesco Heritage site looks like a fairy tale scenery from far. As you approach its quaint village and church, there are more to admire.
Mont Saint-Michel is also well known for as a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. What French people love to do in this site is to walk along the seaside on a guided tour.

versailles

Versailles

It is unquestionably Versailles is a tempting city for an easy day trip from Paris. You can take either a taxi ride or a train for 1 hour to reach this beautiful setting.
The rich history of Versailles commenced with Louis XVII when he converted a quiet village to a hunting lodge. The palace of Versailles witness not only the glory of imperial life but also many important political events.  A tour to Versailles allows you to sample the finest French architect, charming gardens with fountains.

Loire Valley

There are up to 44 castles scattering in Loire Valley. Certainly a day is not enough to explore all the highlights or even 5 castles right in the heart of Loire but if you leave early from Paris then you can sample the key attractions including Cheverny, Chambord and Chinon.
Do not forget to add a visit to local winery into your itinerary of Loire, it is really worth visiting

honfleur

Honfleur

Are you excited for a beach hopping near Paris ?  Honfleur is an ideal choice to do so.
To appreciate Honfleur within a day, the best idea is to combine morning market visit, Museum of Marine, climbing the Côte de Grâce for panorama picture and La Jolie France boat trip.
If you do not like taking a train, the road trip for 197km is full of rural landscapes
