eiffel

Undoubtedly, Eiffel tower is listed in the bucket list of many visitors to France. This iconic site attracts some 80 million visitors per year for its timeless beauty. There are many travel guides for best spots to admire Eiffel towers either from a rooftop building or by its park. Here is my own list of where you should stand for the best view of Eiffel tower :

Table of Contents

  • Trocadero
  • Pont de Bir-Hakeim
  • Tour Montparnasse
  • Terrace on the rooftop of Printemps
  • Cathedral of Notre Dame
  • Rue Sufflot
  • Montmartre
  • Sein River Cruise
  • Centre Pompidou

Trocadero

There is no better place to get face to face with Eiffel tower than Trocadero. This large square offers panorama to Eiffel tower with some advantages. While the main palace is crowded, you can quickly find your own oasis at Amusement Park on the right for a slight descent.
Still not satisfied because of the crowd ? enter the Museum De L’homme just right next to the palace. There is a tranquil cafe to enjoy your own photo.
How to get there : Metro Trocadero line 6,9.

Pont de Bir-Hakeim

A very famous sites for film makers and photographers who want to shoot the Eiffel from different angles. The point connects the 15th and 16th district. Bir-hakeim also has fine French architect which will add more values for your photos. Another good point of this viewing point is it offers the reflection of Sein river.
How to get there : Metro line 6

Tour Montparnasse

If you expect a place to enjoy a fine dinning or simply sip a good drink with perfect panorama of Paris city then Tour Montparnass is probably the premier choice. Lying on the top of 689 foot skyscraper, it is often fully booked for a weekend so make sure you reserve it before you arrive.
How to get there : Metro line 4,6,12,13

Terrace on the rooftop of Printemps

This is a nice stop to after shopping in the busy Printemps. The sweeping view enables you to capture Sacre du Coeur and Eiffel tower as well many other sites in the city.
How to get there : Metro line 3,9

Cathedral of Notre Dame

Notre Dame itself is a beautiful attraction that you must visit in Paris. Beside the highlights of French catholic architect, an ascend of 387 step leads you to its highest platform for grand view of Paris including Louvre museum, river bridges. Prepare a good lens if you want to photograph
How to get there : Metro 4, RER B

Rue Sufflot

For me Rue Sufflot is an excellent point to grab a drink, relax to view the street in the 7th district. Some of the most outstanding monuments of Paris are just there in front of your eyes : The Patheon, Luxembourg Garden then just a little further you will see the Tour Eiffel

Montmartre

There are many reasons why you should spend time in Montmarte, viewing the Eiffel towel is just one of them. This hill offers high elevation for city  360 view.  Right at the foot of Sacre du coeur, you can enjoy some street performance and bring your own drink at the stairs for the best view of Paris.

Sein River Cruise

Staying on board provides a different prospect of the iconic Eiffel. Your view will not be interrupted by other people  once you are on the cruise deck. Do not worry about choosing which cruise to take take because all the river cruises pass by Eiffel.

Centre Pompidou

One of the most intrigue destinations for art lovers in Paris, Pompidou houses different exhibition all the year round. It has open air restaurant and this restaurant is well known for the terrace overlooking Eiffel tower from far.
