A wedding day is a day to remember. When couples get married, they want everything to be just right. One of the most important aspects of getting married is choosing a location. For many couples, the right location is one that has beauty and lots of amenities. Koh Samui is one such place. Thailand’s second largest island, it’s a lush place that also offers easy access to the mainland as well as dozens of fabulous resorts. Couples who are planning on getting married in Koh Samui should allow enough time to make sure they have all the details completed at least several weeks before their big day.

When to Get Married

Picking the date is the first thing to do. The best month to get married here depends on several factors. Keep in mind that heavy rain is common in October and November so an outdoor wedding is probably out. From May to August is popular because this is generally when the weather is mild and not too hot. April is usually the hottest month of the year. February and March are also popular as people from other parts of the world love to escape the cold weather in other parts of the world.

Picking a Venue

One of the best things about getting married in this part of the world is that there are so many Koh Samui beach wedding packages available. The island is dotted with dozens of resorts. Many major international hotel chains can be found. They offer world class service, room for dozens of guests and private wedding spaces. They also offer lots of other amenities including meals, decorations and help with travel arrangements from other parts of Thailand and other nations. Couples can choose exactly where to hold their wedding.

Many hotels and resorts offer easy access to beaches. It’s a good idea to know exactly what the hotel offers before doing anything else. If your heart is set on an oceanfront location, make sure the location can accommodate your plans. Many venues have wedding plans you can examine in detail that include specifics such as upscale, five course wedding menus.

Many Locations in Koh Samui

At over eighty-eight miles in diameter, Koh Samui is a fairly large place. Narrowing down which particular of the island is best should be done well in advance. If you’re looking for a quiet location near gentle waters, consider the area near the Mae Nam pier. As any Koh Samui guide will tell you, this northern part of the island is one of the most secluded parts of the region. It’s also home to some of the best white beaches you can find anywhere in Thailand.

Another popular place for wedding venues in Thailand is Beach Republic, one of the famous Koh Samui wedding resorts which located at the North end of Lamai Beach – just minutes from the extensive shopping, diverse restaurants and vibrant nightlife of Lamai Town and about 30 minutes from Samui airport. The resort offers a private beach and some green on the grounds. This makes it the ideal place to take wonderful wedding photos all day long. The waters here are also quite shallow. The warm, pleasing not to deep waters make it even safer for families with children who want to be part of your special day.

Near The Airport

Another especially popular place to have a wedding here is the area near the airport. The northeastern corner is home to some of the largest beaches on the island, making it easy to find a place you like best. Chaweng and Lamai also have lots of clubs so everyone can have a good time before and after the wedding ceremony. This location is also highly popular for those who love to snorkel as the waters here are crystal clear.

Koh Samui offers much for any bridal couple. There’s pristine beaches, vibrant local culture and beauty at every turn. It’s easier than ever to have a wonderful wedding right here.
